Your child's first birthday is so special, and deserves to be commemorated! Let's celebrate with a Cake Smash. What is a Cake Smash? Basically, about 3 weeks before your child's first birthday, we will throw a little party in my studio with the same theme as their party. You can opt to bring a cake and balloons, and we will let your child have a blast making a mess.
What is included?
You will get one hour of photography time with me. The photo session is geared towards getting those messy cake photographs, but don't worry. You will also get regular portraits of your toddler as well. I always leave time before the smashing to capture all the little details of your child. After all, they grow so fast, so we need to document every chunky leg roll, and every toothy grin. I also include a bath session after the Cake Smash, to help clean up. Plus, baths are fun and babies love this part of the session. The bath is sure to gain some extra smiles!
Tips on what to bring
I will include a plain seamless paper and a banner that compliments your theme. You will bring the cake, and any special decorations or outfits that correspond with your theme. If you would like to have a chalkboard sign made for the session, I can provide the design for an additional fee.
After the session
My favorite part of the photo session happens when I get to see your reaction to the photos. I love to see which are your favorites and I get to do so when we meet for a reveal and ordering session. The most popular products for this type of session are albums, canvases and Round Photoblocks to display these fun images. Plus, don't forget about the invitations and a large print to display at the party. Be sure to schedule well in advance, as my calendar fills up quickly and I wouldn't want to miss capturing this special time in your child's life!
