A Quinceañera is the celebration of a girl's 15th birthday, marking her passage from girlhood to womanhood. Quinceañeras are usually celebrated with elaborate gowns, but for this portrait session, we used the essence of the theme to capture beautiful and timeless images to treasure.
Maya was turning 15 and her mother booked a private session using her pristine landscaped back yard as a backdrop to the portraits. Who would have guessed that their small backyard would have the most immaculate garden. Their backyard oasis was the perfect location for such a gorgeous portrait session. I love how we captured her playful side, while also capturing her beauty. This age group is so fun because it is the perfect age to freeze time when your girl is still you're little girl, and about to become a woman.
We let Maya's personality shine through, but we did add in the Mardi Gras mask to pay homage to her Quince theme. This is one of my all time favorite sessions, and I hope you love it also!
